Delete your data from AppNex Phone Gateway
AppNex Phone Gateway (shown as Phone Gateway on the phone) is published by AppNex Technologies. It links a phone to a business's CRM account so the business can text and call from its CRM using the phone's SIM. This page explains how to have your data deleted.
How to request deletion
- Stop sending data. Open Phone Gateway and tap Unpair this phone, or uninstall the app. Nothing more is sent from that moment.
- Ask us to delete what the gateway holds. Email formulatesolutions@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my data" and the phone number of the SIM card in the phone. We delete the phone's data within 30 days and reply to confirm.
- If you run the business account, you can delete everything the gateway holds for it yourself. An admin of the CRM sub-account opens Phone Gateway's Subscription tab and uses Delete all my data: the gateway stops for that account at once and deletes its settings, phones, texts, call records, pictures, recordings and chat channels 7 days later (until then an admin can undo it). Or remove Phone Gateway from your CRM sub-account: the gateway stops at once and deletes that account's phones, texts, call records, pictures and recordings within 30 days (kept until then in case you add it back).
What is deleted
- The phone's link to the business account, its SIM numbers and carrier names, its model and app version, and the scrambled form of its id.
- The gateway's copies of texts the phone sent, its call records, the pictures and call recordings it uploaded, and the hourly counts of its texts and calls.
- When the business deletes its data (or removes Phone Gateway from its CRM, 30 days later), also the business account's contact (name, email and phone from its CRM business profile).
What is kept, and for how long
- Without any request, the gateway deletes finished texts after 3 days and call records after 7 days. It deletes pictures and recordings as soon as they're in the business's CRM, and always within 3 days.
- For the business account's reports, hourly counts of its texts and calls (how many and how long, per SIM, phone and CRM user; never their content or phone numbers) are kept for 62 days. Daily totals of these counts, with the names of the account's SIMs, phones and CRM users, are also kept in our reporting system for up to 25 months; the account's own figures are deleted with its data: when the business deletes its data, or 30 days after it removes Phone Gateway from its CRM.
- Each business account's plan, its subscription's history and monthly totals (how many texts and call minutes, never their content), and its invoices and payment records are kept for billing and accounting, also after it deletes its data.
- Texts, call logs and recordings already delivered to the business's CRM belong to that business and are kept under its own policy. Ask the business to delete them there.
